These webpages contain material and commentary for an undergraduate-level game-studies lab course that I designed and taught in 2011. I release this information in the hope that others find it useful, adapting it however they wish.
The original course website, exactly as the lab’s students saw it. It includes links to all the class resources the students had access to, including the course syllabus, and detailed homework and preparatory pages for each week’s class meeting.
And then, behind the scenes:
A description about the course’s purpose and structure, my motivations behind its design, and notes on how I taught it.
Week-by-week commentary about how I prepared and taught each class meeting’s material. Includes links to each week’s quiz and student-visible materials, as well as additional notes on why I chose the games I did.
