About the Gameshelf Blog
This site nominally exists to support The Gameshelf, a very irregularly produced TV show and podcast about unusual games. It fills out the wide spaces between its episodes with the Gameshelf Blog, a continuously updated stream of game information from the people who help make the show happen.
Our goal is to discover and discuss topics in the world of games that the more mainstream or fan-driven game media tend to overlook. Don't look to us for coverage of the latest new video game craze, or major happenings in the industry. We'll be happy to talk about video games that most people have never heard of, though, as well as tabletop games you'll wonder why you've never seen before. Philosophical ruminations on the very nature of play are not uncommon.
Currently, the pool of Gameshelf Blog authors is strictly limited to people whose names have appeared in any Gameshelf episode's credit roll. All readers are welcome and encouraged to comment on any post, however! (And if you really want to write for this blog, perhaps you should consider appearing on the show?)
